Would I rather go to Jamestown or Plymouth, I don’t know?! I would rather go to Plymouth because you didn’t have to pay extra for your family to go with you to Jamestown, that’s why I would rather go to Plymouth! There is more to the Plymouth colony than just a bunch of people who wore black and yellow! Also there are more reasons I would rather go to Plymouth than Jamestown. One of them is that Plymouth came to worship freely, while Jamestown came to get rich. Also Plymouth was always making friends with the Wampanoag Indians, while Jamestown had lots of fights with the tribe over there. Meanwhile Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement, while Plymouth was the second. Jamestown had an official charter, which means they could explore the land that King James the first allowed them to, while Plymouth didn’t have an official charter, so they had to wait on the King to give them an official charter! How would you like to wait on a King to let you live in a foreign country, with Indians that could attack you any minute!! But they waited, and waited, and waited, and finally, they got the official charter! While Jamestown was looking for something gold, they did find something gold, not gold bars, but tobacco leaves. So then they started growing tobacco leaves, and prospered!! Plymouth learned how to grow corn from the Indians, but they don’t use corn like us, they use it to make cornmeal!! Where would you rather live, Jamestown or Plymouth?!

On a dark & dreary night, on Halloween, in the dark woods, a ghost was lurking through the dark woods. Back at his house, there was proof that Brady & Levi were kidnapped and were taken to the dark woods.” Help, Help,” they called, Meanwhile Brody was playing with his friends and heard the calls, so he told his friends that his brother was in trouble, so he called out,”I’m coming!”, so he ran until he saw an old house, then he heard the calls again, only louder. So he ran into the house and saw Brady and Levi in the corner of the house, tied to a chair with a rope. Then he found a knife in the corner and cut them loose. When they left the old house, Jaidyn the witch popped out from behind a tree and said,”Where is the werewolf?” asked Jaidyn.” He went in the old house back there to check on my brother and his friend,”said Brody. When they got out of the dark woods, they told Brody that it was a prank!” Hey Brody, by the way this was all a prank!” said Levi.” Really, I will get you back!” said Brody.

Photo Credit: Pentagon-3days-zifj14.jpg      We remember 9-11 in American History.  There was lots of terrorism on that day.  There were 4 planes that were hijacked,  1 plane hit Twin Tower 1, and another plane hit Twin Tower 2. The other plane hit the west side of the Pentagon, which is shown in the picture. We think the last plane was heading for the White House, or the Congress building. Over 3,000 people lost their lives, either going in to save people, or coming out, either way, there was a lot of terrorism. Even though I wasn’t born when this happened, I still can’t imagine how bad it was. I’m pretty sure the plane that hit the Pentagon, hit the Navy Command Center, I think. The reason the hijackers hijacked these specific planes is, the planes had lots of fuel, so when they hit their target, it would explode with alot of force. It was a very important and sad day. They were just regular people, and the hijackers hijacked the planes for no reason, the only reason that they hijacked the plane, was because they knew it would leave a big impact, and it did. But America fights back, and they don’t just give up.

Life in 5th grade for me is great, because I have cool teachers. I have 2 math teachers, 1 reading teacher, 1 science teacher, and 1 history teacher. I have 4 girl teachers, and 1 boy teacher. My favorite teacher is the boy teacher, which is the science teacher. I  like my math and science teachers the most, because my favorite subject in school is math and science. My science teacher is hilarious and cool, he acts like a big kid, which makes him hilarious and cool. Their names are Mr. McBride, Mrs. Ummel, Mrs. McFall,  Mrs. Brantley, and Mrs. Owens. Mrs. Owens is the reading teacher, Mrs. McFall is the history teacher, Mrs. Ummel and Mrs. Brantley are the math teachers, and Mr. McBride is the science teacher. My class does talk alot, but in some ways, that’s a good thing, or it could be bad in some ways. I like going to recess because we get our energy out and have fun at the same time, which I think is a good thing. I like playing games at recess like wall ball, kickball, basketball, and tag. I love 5th grade because we have music class, P.E., Healthy Bodies, and Computer Lab. I will miss 5th grade.

The name of the flower is the Baby Blue Eyes. The Scientific Classification name is Hydrophyllaceae,and the Scientific Name is Nemophila Insignis. The Baby Blue Eyes are native in Texas,California, and known to grow around the U.S. The Baby Blue Eyes bloom in March,April,and May. It is 6-12 inches tall. People suggest that you should plant them in borders,rock gardens,and hanging baskets. There is about 258,000 seeds avg. per pound. About 8 lbs. of seeds per acre,and 1 oz. covers 340 sq. ft.

There are many things I like to do, like riding a bike, playing outside, and more. However, one of the main things I like to do is play baseball. Some of the main gear for baseball is a bat, a ball, and a glove. A glove is used for catching the ball when it is coming at you. A bat is used for hitting the ball when it is pitched. There are 3 main leagues in baseball. One is the Major League, one is the Minor League, and the other one is the Little League. The Little League is for kids 5-14 years old. The Minor League is the league before the Major League. The Major League is the league for adults only. I don’t know why baseball gets so much attention, otherwise I would tell you why! One thing’s for sure, I have loved baseball all my life! I started playing baseball when I was 2, so I know how the game works. I also know that my entire family is a Texas Ranger Fan. If you had to write and choose your favorite hobby, what would it be about?
